Unfortunately my MX Revolution broke after 5 years of using it and I had to find a successor. I didn’t like the MX Performance (was too big mainly) so I ended up with MX Anywhere.
And here comes the lag issue: sometimes while moving the mouse the pointer stops responding for a second, it happens randomly. It doesn’t happen because the battery is low or the mouse pad is dirty, it’s not a problem with drivers or software either. I couldn’t find solution online so decided to write my own.
The problem is with the connections between the USB receiver and the mouse, if it’s not close enough it looses packets sometimes.
It’s easy to fix this lag:
– just take an USB extension cable (remember the longer cable the worse, try with 1m first),
– plug it into the back of your PC,
– connect the USB Logitech Unifying Receiver to the cable extention,
– place it just next to your mouse, the closer you keep the USB receiver to the mouse the better
I’ve noticed huge improvement in the response time, the pointer runs more smooth now and the lag is gone.
